Jefferson County Farm Tour

Jefferson County Farm Tour is presented by The Production Alliance in partnership with WSU Jefferson County Extension and local farmers, with support from Jefferson County Farmers Markets, Jefferson Land Trust, The Food Co-op, and Chimacum Corner Farmstand.

Mission:
  • Celebrate locally grown food, fiber, and farm-made products.
  • Invite community members to learn from and engage with their local farmers.
  • Stimulate economic opportunity for farms in Jefferson County.

Start your self-guided tour at any one of the 14 featured properties or at Farm Tour Central (9122 Rhody Dr, Chimacum). Volunteers onsite will provide brochures and maps, collect donations, orientate tour-goers to each location and make route recommendations.

Farm Tour is made possible through public donations and the generous support of our sponsors!

Suggested donation of $10 per carload. Carpooling is recommended! Donations are accepted at any farm on the tour. Thank you for your support!

SATURDAY-ONLY

Gariss Gardens

Explore fields with over 350 varieties of colorful cutting flowers, shrubs and trees. The gardens are well-known for their outstanding, affordable floral arrangements and CSA programs. Farm Stand bouquets will be available for purchase.

Sailor Vineyard

Three-acres with three varieties of grape: Marechal Foch, Pinot Noir and Dolcetto. Traditional gravity winery from 100% site-grown grapes. Wine is unfiltered and unfined with no sulfites. Vineyard and winery tours.

White Lotus Farm

White Lotus Farm was established in 2017 with the intention of creating high quality products, experiences, and opportunities to bolster the well-being of our region. We offer sourdough breads, chicken eggs, grass-fed lamb, fleece, and honey. We host weddings, community events and farm stays. We also grow and design flowers with our farm mates, Space Twins Provisions. Our floral collaborative is called “Space Lotus”.

  • (Booth) Space Twins Provisions 
    • Space Twins Provisions is a husband-wife vegetable operation in residency at White Lotus Farm & Inn. We furnish a small CSA and vend at the Port Townsend Farmers Market. On less than a quarter acre, we practice high rotation market gardening style vegetable production.
  • (Booth) Ananda Hills Farm
    • Produces food and fiber using methods that enhance the health of the land, the customers, and the local economy. Shetland Sheep – their fine wool, natural colors, small size, and hardiness are the right fit for this small fiber farm.

Natembea Northwest

Natembea is a cooperative farm project on a 97-acre expanse of pasture, woods and wetlands. Partners featured this year include:

  • Heartwood Nursery
    • A small-scale, bareroot nursery specializing in fruit and nut trees, grown sustainably and propagated by hand with love by Logan Fields. Explore this humble nursery, discover the magic of tree propagation, and get inspired to plan and plant your own orchard.
  • Mollayo Farm
    • A small-scale poultry farm dedicated to raising meat chickens and turkeys exclusively on fresh pasture and organic feed. Meet with the farmer-owner, Theresa Kim, tour our operation, and place orders for chickens and turkeys.
  • Soft Step Farm
    • Half-acre farm growing with sustainable and regenerative principles to build soil, minimize waste, and model the beauty and productivity of small-scale agriculture. Self-guided greenhouse and field tours.
  • The Hedgerow
    • The Hedgerow is in the “during” phase of its creation. Learn about the regenerative methods at work to turn raw pasture into a self-sustaining food forest!

The Vineyard on Portuguese Hill

Port Townsend Vineyards welcomes all-ages to our Portuguese Hill vineyard. Since 2015, we’ve been passionately cultivating unique grapes using organic methods, prioritizing both vine and environmental health. Join us for an immersive experience exploring a variety of grapes, including Iskorka, Garanoir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Noir.

Shy Acre Farm

A multi-use demonstration farm. Land tended is a statement of simplicity and resourcefulness. Shy Acre has two high tunnels, demonstration gardens, a picnic pavilion, a labyrinth, a lavender field and fruit orchard.

Arabians at Egg and I

This 20-acre farm breeds, shows, and sells Arabian horses. Known internationally to Arabian breeders, owner Tim Manring regularly shows his horses throughout the Pacific Northwest, in Scottsdale, AZ and on the East Coast.

Compass Rose Farms

A 40-acre bio-diverse permaculture farm, that is home to a herd of Icelandic sheep, wool mill and yarn shop, permaculture design school, flower and herb gardens, and a forest grove with trails and meditation sites. Compass Rose is also a Hipcamp Star Host.

  • (Booth) SoulCedar Farm
    • A small-scale, holistic farm located in Quilcene, specializing in small batch, artisanal ‘Shrubs’ (sipping vinegars). Farmers Sage Coy and Max Evans believe in the importance of nourishing food and of reciprocal relationships between people, plants and land.

Egg and I Pork

Five-acre, multi-generational family-owned and operated farm raising Heritage breed hogs, Blackbelly sheep, and other small livestock. Locally sourced whole/rolled grains (for animal consumption), various fruit/vegetable and flower gardens, and a large greenhouse used for propagating fuchsias and various container plants.

Fairwinds Farm

A 15-acre family-owned and operated farm since 1992. Stroll through the lavender fields, learn about the role of bees in the food process, rotational grazing and other sustainable practices, and participate in hands-on activities.

  • (Booth) Food Bank Growers Garden
    • Stop by the Food Bank Growers Booth in front of our newest garden located on the FairWinds property. Learn how FBG volunteers transformed this field into produce in just a few months and what plants will grow best on this windy location.

Gray Fox Farm

One-and-a-half acres of blueberries, apple and plum orchards, chickens, ducks, and bees. Proudly providing fresh and local raw honey, jams, pickles, and natural produce. Take in the beautiful views of Beaver Valley and see our soon-to-be active 3,000 sq. ft. greenhouse.

Kodama Farm & Food Forest

A small farm using no-till and permaculture practices to grow a thriving market garden, budding food forest, and tropical greenhouse. We raise Nigerian Dwarf goats for our goat-milk soap and produce pottery, jams, preserves, and more!

  • (Booth) Jefferson Land Trust
    • Protecting places that matter since 1989. In partnership with landowners, the Land Trust develops strategies and provides services that permanently protect wetlands, floodplains, farmlands, wildlife corridors, and scenic areas.

Salish Coast Production Farm & Teaching Garden

Public school students are eating thousands of pounds of produce grown right outside their classrooms! Learn how farmers and students are cultivating food for scratch-cooking programs at elementary, middle, and high school campuses throughout Jefferson County.

Wilderbee Farm

Family-run organic farm and meadery. U-pick lavender, flowers, pumpkins. British Soay Sheep. Honeybees and handcrafted meads. Essential oil distillation and wool spinning demonstrations. Mead tastings, nature trails, meet and feed our sheep, self-guided tours.

  • (Booth) Jacob’s Fleece Farm
    • Featuring raw fleeces, processed fiber, handspun yarn, hand knit items from heritage Jacob’s sheep. View spinning demonstrations and purchase handmade items.
