DESCRIPTION:The Port Ludlow Village Council is excited to announce its First Annual Canine Costume Contest to be held on Saturday\, October 25\, 2025. Just in time for Halloween\, the fun will kick off at the Port Ludlow Marina located at 1 Gull Drive from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm with the dog parade starting at 12:00 pm. Dog owners will dress their canines in amazing\, comfortable costumes and follow a short parade route around the Marina\, led by a Grand Marshall.  \nOur esteemed judges will select a winner for each of the costume categories:  \n\nSpookiest\nFunniest\nMost Creative\nDouble Trouble (2 dogs)\nBest Duo/Trio (owners and dogs in costumes)\n\nAt least one prize will be awarded in each category. Dogs must have up-to-date rabies vaccinations to participate. \nFor all other pets\, or dogs too shy for the parade there will also be an online pet photo costume contest prior to the event\, in which any type of pet may be entered. The community will vote online for the People’s Choice Award and the winner of the best pet costume photo will be announced at the parade.  \nRegistration will also be available on the day of the parade at the event. \nThis free community-wide event is generating enthusiasm and more information about vendors and sponsors will follow.
