A free outdoor concert series featuring primarily local bands on Thursdays starting July 13th and going through August. The concerts take place at the Pope Marine Plaza from 5:00-7:00 pm and include a beer/wine/cider garden and local vendors. Attendance ranges from 350-500 each week. Goal: To create a connection with downtown, showcase great regional music and local businesses. Local businesses help sponsor these shows through venue sponsorships, beer/wine garden sponsorships, and stage sponsorships.

2023 Line Up

July 27th – The Shift: Kalan Wolfe & THE SHIFT casts a new light on modern folk music by incorporating neo folk, reggae, a hint of bluegrass, humor and theatrics. Their music aims to shed light on social and environmental issues while promoting unity.  Although forged on the Olympic Peninsula, The Shift has performed for many festivals up and down the West Coast, alongside acts such as Wookiefoot, Nattali Rize, Dustin Thomas, Ray Zaragoza, Tim Sider, Leon Hendricks and more.

August 3rd – George Rezendes & Soundlab: Dance music from the 1920’s to the 21st Century. George and band (previously known as The Toolshed Trio) have been performing in Port Townsend since 1996. An ever changing roster of Port Townsends finest musicians and singers, we have played a wide variety of styles with many different lineups. This version of Soundlab features singers Bonnie Obremski, Alanna Dailey & Piper Dunlap. Also on the bill will be Paul Rogers – keyboards/vocals, Jonathan Doyle – Horns, David Conklin – bass, Robert Rushing – drums & George Rezendes – Guitar/Vocals

August 10th – Uncle Funk & the Dope 6: Uncle Funk And The Dope 6 is a tightly knit, finely tuned musical experience. The ultimate party band….Hailing from all reaches of the country, the members of Uncle Funk were hand-selected in 2013 to form the ultimate party/dance band. Uncle Funk has formed into a tightly knit, finely tuned musical experience. Members of Uncle Funk and the Dope 6 have shared stages with everyone from Little Feat and Prince to Los Lobos and Willie Nelson.

August 17th – The Cosmiphonics with North Beach & True Reckoning: Cosmiphonics was established as a musical upbringing out of the pandemic slump of 2020. The quintet established their sound as an acid funk jam band, seasoned with a unique blend of other genres such as latin, R&B and jazz, creating an invigorating, funky experience like no other. The group draws inspiration from nature, the human sentience, and the primordial cosmic matter that spawned carbon based existence. Brewed in Port Townsend, Cosmiphonics is compiled of musicians who have been humbly rooted in the local music scene, bringing a truly authentic style to the ear, infectious groove to the feet and electrifying ambience to the soul.

True Reckoning North Beach

True Reckoning is a touring coastal dream folk duo based in Port Townsend, Washington. They performed over 100 live dates last year in Alaska, Oregon, Washington, and California. Listeners praise True Reckoning’s ability to blend contemporary indie rock with folk and outlaw country styles

North Beach is a local psychedelic rock band with two lead songwriters that draw from both personal experiences and old school rock’n’roll. Ramped up by their powerful rhythm section and smoothed out with waves of delay, catchy 3-part harmonies and whirling guitar tones to create a retro, yet fresh sound in the Pacific Northwest. Don’t miss it!

August 24th – Olympic Express Big Band: The Olympic Express Big Band, featuring vocalist Jessie Lee Spicher, seats top musicians from Sequim, Port Townsend, Port Angeles, and Joyce. Choosing from a vast repertoire of scores, they tailor performances to suit the customer. At festivals, they enjoy performing exciting concert arrangements, as well as dance tunes of all styles from all generations and all genres. Come and listen to some Glenn Miller, and Benny Goodman through Huey Lewis and Herbie Hancock, with some country, latin, and boogie-woogie thrown in for good measure!  Bringing hot dance music to the Concerts on the Dock! Rock, Soul, Motown, Rhythm & Blues performed with originality and style.
